Happy Birthday Princess One!
Yes, I know we did this three weeks ago. Twice! Hey, I didn’t plan to have three kids in the one month.
Anyway….
Happy Birthday Chicken!
The downhill run.
No I’m not talking about skiing! It’s that part of the story where things come rushing at you at high speed and you have to zig or zag or splat!
I had planned to be done by now but it took a little bit more effort than I thought it would to unwrite the corner my characters were in. Of course they had their own opinions of how that should be done and not one of us could agree sooooo……..I deleted them into seeing it my way.
I haven’t seen that much of the weekend so far but I have heard the driving rain beating against the roof of our back deck. The sun did show it’s face later today and it got rather warm, or so the Tribe tells me. I didn’t really leave my office except to go to the supermarket for food and it was freezing in there! You would think I’d learn to wear covered shoes and take a jacket but noooo, I have to freeze my ass off ever damn time. *sigh* Never let it be said I don’t sacrifice for this Tribe.
Okay, back to the cave. All right, fine, I’m going to bed early. But I’ll be up and back at it in the morning. Hope everyone is having a great weekend so far.

Murphy always wins.
Damn him!
Why is it that every single time I’m on a deadline the whole world needs my attention? Huh? WHY??!!! *cries*
First The Kid got sick, then WWIII broke out inside the house and finally the dreaded Christmas list check. *big sigh* I know, I know, *whispers* it could be worse.
As of now I’m on lockdown until this thing is done! If you see me on the net or twitter or facebook or anywhere other than in my chair yell at me. Or better yet, ignore me. If no one talks to me I’ll soon go away…..no wait, I’m usually okay talking to myself…..:)
Okay, back to the writing cave. See you when I get out. Hopefully later today. If not tomorrow. Definitely by tomorrow night.

Let them eat cake!
OMG! Last night we went to a 40th b’day party where the cake looked like this -
Totally cool. (even though my photography skills suck.
)
The birthday girl had a great night. So did Mr.C and the rest of the car load I transported. *sigh* Yes, designated driver, that’s me. Anyway, today I feel like I’m hungover and I didn’t even drink! In my defense though we did stand the WHOLE time we were there. My back is killing me. ugh!
Okay, enough with the whining. Off to do some work.

ETA (because Susan asked) – Yes, apparently it tasted better than it looked. Sadly I was unable to sample it as it was made using wheat flour. :cries:
Wordless Wednesday
Yep. That was me today. *sigh*
So let me tell you how my day went. We woke up late. The Kid and Princess & the Pea were late for school. I forgot to put the washing on before I showered so it wasn’t ready to hang out before I had to leave with Princess One for the city. We drove to the train station and proceed to drive around in circles looking for a parking spot only to watch our train pull in to the station and leave before we found the non-existent empty spot. Knowing the next train wouldn’t get us to the city on time we decided to drive in. (I hate driving in Sydney. It sux!) I looked down and noticed Princess One did not have enough petrol to get us there. Detour to petrol station. Leave petrol station with screaming credit card. Surprisingly our drive in was smooth. Then we hit the city streets. And stopped. Moved an inch. Stopped. Moved an inch. Stopped. You get the idea. I ended up having to eject Princess One while waiting in traffic. She wasn’t too thrilled with the idea but I managed to convince her it was the only option. Fifteen minutes later I pulled into a parking station and proceeded to walk the ten blocks back to where I’d ejected Princess One. I wandered around the shops for a whole five minutes when she rang to say she was ready to head home. We walked the ten blocks back to her car (with her whinging the whole way) to start the drive home. It took twice as long to get home. Why is it that every idiot has to be on the road when I am? And what’s with the people who have no idea they have indicators? You know, the blinking lights that let people know what you’re about to do whether it’s safe to do so or not?
*deep sigh*
I think I know why I prefer to stay inside with my ass planted safely in my desk chair.

Has it really been that long?
Today is Son#1′s birthday. He’s 22. When did that happen? I’m not sure I was there for all of those years……anyway
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SON#1!!!
Rhian <– who deserves a reward for not killing him
Where did the week go?
If anyone knows where Thursday and Friday are could you point them out please? Oh, and Saturday too. *sigh*
It’s almost 8pm on Saturday and I haven’t written a word since Wednesday. I’m really not sure where all those hours went or what I did with them but I am sure it wasn’t finishing the wip I wanted done by today. And tomorrow I won’t get any words down as we’re off on a family adventure. By family I mean the extended family and by adventure I mean this -

It’s called the Illawarra Fly Treetop Walk and you can check it out HERE! I’ll be taking the camera and if my legs stop shaking long enough for me to snap some pix I’ll blog them and about our adventure next week. Of course I may still chicken out…….

The ‘what’s going on’ post.
Wow. I can’t seem to hold on to the days lately. It seems no sooner have I crawled out of bed than I’m crawling back in again and I’m not one of the heroines in my books so I’m not getting lucky.
I’m finding it hard to get back into the groove after my fan-damn-tastic trip to the US with Mr.C. We bounced from one side of the US to the other and managed to meet some great people and get some great pictures. Hopefully I’ll get some blog posts up about it soon. The highlight of the trip for me was having Mr.C all to myself for over two weeks. As much as I love our tribe and would have gladly taken them with us if it were possible, I still really enjoyed it just being me and Mr.C. Guess this is what we’ve got to look forward to in the future once they’ve all left home. Not that they’re doing that with much haste.
The last two months have been busy for me writing wise but not in the ‘sit down and write’ kind of way. I’ve had three releases since August 26, two digital and one print, plus my next scheduled release, Truth Or Dare, is up for pre-order on Amazon. I’m planning to do up a newsletter later this week and I’ll include all the info on that but you can always find the info here on my website. Check the books and coming soon pages. Speaking of websites, I’m doing a little tweaking and as I’m seriously inept at anything technology related it may take me a while to get it the way I want.
I’m trying some new ideas and doing a general tidy-up of the whole place but I promise not to blow anything up. Okay, I’ll try not to blow anything up.
Right now I need to sit Mr. Muse down and get some words done. *looks over shoulder* Now where did he go……
Rhian
P.S. Don’t forget to sign up for my newsletter at the top of the sidebar on the right.
The internet connection is driving me insane!
Dammit! I’d love to post some pix of the last week but the stupid connection in this hotel keeps dropping out before they’re fully uploaded and then I have to start again only for the connection to drop…….
So anyway, Mr.C and I are in Aiken, South Carolina and I have to say I love it! Mr.C loves it. He even said something like ‘I could live here’ which of course has me crossing fingers and toes even if it is a pipe-dream.
We had dinner at The Willcox last night. OMG! It’s gorgeous! I can’t wait to be able to upload the pic of the beautiful old building. I ventured out earlier but there isn’t too much right around the hotel we’re in but I plan to put my walking shoes on tomorrow and go as far as my skinny legs will take me.
I’m hoping to convince Mr.C to take a trip to either Charleston or Savannah on Saturday but it will depend on what our friends are up for after driving down from Atlanta. Maybe I could just steal their keys and go myself.
Rhian
P.S. All Of You is #1 on the Noble Romance bestsellers list! Thanks to everyone for putting it there!
The trip so far.
So we’re into our fifth day in the US but as we left Oz on a Saturday and arrived in LA before we left Sydney I think it’s our sixth day on the road.
We had a blast in LA. The lovely Lila Dubois and FarmBoy took us around the city for a whirlwind tour. It’s a shame we didn’t have more time there with them. Maybe next time. Here’s some pix we snapped in our jetlagged state.
Well that took more than ten minutes to upload two pix! You’ll have to wait for more because I’ve got a date with a mall.
We’re in Louisville now, we got here Sunday night ready for Mr.C to be at work Monday morning. He’s worked every day while I’ve been free to explore or just hang out in the hotel room. Yesterday I went to the Louisville Slugger Museum and Factory. It was great fun and very interesting for me as I know nothing about baseball AT ALL. Tomorrow we leave for Akron and the Ellora’s Cave RomantiCon convention. Can’t wait to get there and hang out with Mari Carr and all the other great authors, readers, editors, EC staffers, Cavemen…….;)
Okay, off to the mall I go.
