Back to work
It’s always hard to come back after holidays but with Christmas and our annual holiday being back to back it feels like I’ve been away for months not weeks! I’ve been wading through my emails and I think I’ve got it under control but don’t quote me.
There’s been lots going on behind the scenes here, both on a personal and work front. I’m behind on so much and will be doing the best I can to get back up to speed by the end of the week. Of course there’s the long awaited release of Truth or Dare this week to shout about plus some really great news in the form of reviews, interviews and nominations. I think I’ll do the reviews first.
Miranda over at Joyfully Reviewed has written a great review for Coyote Whispers. You can check out the full review HERE but here’s a little piece I liked -
“I just loved Rhian Cahill’s spectacular action sequences! I felt like I was right in the middle of it all!”
Thanks Miranda!
Two reviews have come in for Truth or Dare and the book isn’t even out yet! I’m so thrilled Miki, Dayne and Grant have received such great comments so far.
DiDi over at Guilty Pleasures Book Reviews gave Truth or Dare five stars. You can read the full review HERE and of course I’m going to share a snippet with you
“I was impressed by the fact that Ms. Cahill brought up something in this book that I have not seen in many menage books…..The fact that she wrote about Dayne feeling Grant’s hand touch his genitals, the guys touching each other during sex, not really intentional, but just in the throes of passion or in cuddling around Mikki and their thoughts about it, makes the intimate scenes believable……SO MAJOR PROPS to Ms. Cahill for writing about it.”
Thank you DiDi!
Over at Long and Short Reviews – Erotic Romance, Foxglove gave Truth or Dare four starts and had lots of great things to say about the book. Read the full review HERE but this is the bit I really liked -
“This is for all those readers who like their romance in threes, and spicy hot. One warning, though, you’ll need the tissues and the ice in equal measure.”
Thank you Foxglove!
I’m a featured author over at The Romance Studio this month. You can check out the interview HERE!
Now for the big *squee* moment. I’ve been nominated twice for the Australian Romance Readers Awards again this year! Last year was for two books in the same category, this year I’m up in two different categories. All Of You is nominated in the Favorite Erotic Romance category and Coyote Hunger has been nominated in the Favorite Continuing Romance Series category. I’m so thrilled by both of these nominations and I’m especially looking forward to the awards dinner in February. You can see all the nominations HERE and if you’re a member of ARRA don’t forget to vote.
My head is still spinning from all the wonderful news I’ve gotten since Christmas. It’s been a brilliant start to 2012.

Okay, now that’s out of the way.
I sold another novella to Etopia Press. This is the kinda sequel to Bondi Beach Boys I was talking about the other day. The title is Sand, Surf, and Sunni, and it’s a m/f/m menage. I’m thrilled that Etopia want it. More details as I get them.
Reviews! Two of them.
All Of You got a 4 star review from Calisto over at The Romance Reviews. You can read the full review HERE! but I really, really like this bit -
“Scorching romantica done right!”
Coyote Run received a 4.5 Top Pick review from Missy over at Night Owl Reviews. The full review is HERE!
“This is my first time reading a Rhian Cahill Coyote book….. I will be watching this author very closely!”

Missing! One Mr. Muse!
Damn the man! He’s never around when I want him. Typical really, he is male after all.
But don’t worry I haven’t been idle while he’s gone, nope, I’ve been procrastinating up a storm.
Check out the new cover images down the right hand side of the blog. Each image links straight to the publishers book page and I’m pretty damn impressed I didn’t blow anything up while getting those beauties loaded.
I’ve also added my latest release to the welcome page of the website to make it easier for you all to find. Plus I’ve added release dates to all my book pages so you can work out what’s what. I don’t know about you, but I like to know when a book was released so I can be sure I haven’t missed any of my favorite authors work and I don’t double up if a book has been repackaged.
So while I’m doing some redecorating is there anything you like or don’t like to see on an authors website? Any and all suggestions welcome. And while you’ve all got those thinking caps on give some thought to what you’d like to see from me next. I think that might be Mr. Muse’s problem. We just can’t decide what wip to work on.

P.S. Don’t forget to sign up for my newsletter, I’ll be putting that together tomorrow.
The ‘what’s going on’ post.
Wow. I can’t seem to hold on to the days lately. It seems no sooner have I crawled out of bed than I’m crawling back in again and I’m not one of the heroines in my books so I’m not getting lucky.
I’m finding it hard to get back into the groove after my fan-damn-tastic trip to the US with Mr.C. We bounced from one side of the US to the other and managed to meet some great people and get some great pictures. Hopefully I’ll get some blog posts up about it soon. The highlight of the trip for me was having Mr.C all to myself for over two weeks. As much as I love our tribe and would have gladly taken them with us if it were possible, I still really enjoyed it just being me and Mr.C. Guess this is what we’ve got to look forward to in the future once they’ve all left home. Not that they’re doing that with much haste.
The last two months have been busy for me writing wise but not in the ‘sit down and write’ kind of way. I’ve had three releases since August 26, two digital and one print, plus my next scheduled release, Truth Or Dare, is up for pre-order on Amazon. I’m planning to do up a newsletter later this week and I’ll include all the info on that but you can always find the info here on my website. Check the books and coming soon pages. Speaking of websites, I’m doing a little tweaking and as I’m seriously inept at anything technology related it may take me a while to get it the way I want.
I’m trying some new ideas and doing a general tidy-up of the whole place but I promise not to blow anything up. Okay, I’ll try not to blow anything up.
Right now I need to sit Mr. Muse down and get some words done. *looks over shoulder* Now where did he go……

Sunday in….the madhouse!
I’ve said it a number of times but my life really does get crazy on occasion. This weekend has proven to be one of those times. Honestly I don’t think I’ve had time to breath once. I definitely haven’t relaxed. Mr.C came home Saturday morning delivering a suitcase load of washing to add to the huge pile I’d neglected the few days before. I managed to get some work done around the housework and general chaos that the house turns into whenever I dive into the edit/writing cave but then it was time to get ready to go out for dinner to a 60th. I think we dragged ourselves home at about midnight. Then it was back up again to do another round of washing, general house tidy and head on out to the in-laws to celebrate Mr.C’s birthday as he’d been out of the country when it actually took place. After hours of good food and good fun we raced home to get stuck into the next batch of washing/tidying/cleaning/organizing so that the coming week isn’t smothered under an avalanche of chaos. And let’s not mention that it’s 6 days until I’m boarding a plane for the US. Or that it’s 8 days until All Of You releases and I’ve done nothing in preparation of its arrival. *sigh* Yep, madhouse.
The one highlight of my weekend other than Mr.C’s return was this:-
Oh my yes. That does make the madness all worth it.

Time Warp
I’m in one. Or a black hole. Or a dark cave. Or……you get the picture. It’s the 14th of September here and what I wanna know is where the hell did July go? WTF? Seriously, I’m not sure if I’m coming (not the good kind) or going right now. I do know that in ten days I’ll be going. OMG! In TEN DAYS I’ll be flying with Mr.C to LA where we’ll spend a day before heading to Louisville, then on to Akron, over to Washington DC, down to Aiken, SC and finally back to LA and home again.
TEN DAYS!!!!
Jeez, when the hell did it get so close? And what the hell should I pack besides the ereaders and laptop? What’s the weather like? Will I need warm clothes or can I get excited and expect a little heat? *crosses fingers for warm weather* While in the US I’ll be attending RomantiCon. I can’t wait to go. I’ll get to hang with my CP, Mari Carr as well as a number of other author friends like Nicole Austin. I saw Mari in April at RT but I haven’t seen Nic since RT ’09. I can’t wait to squeeze that girl.
Mr.C is looking forward to meeting some more of my author friends, he’s had the pleasure of hanging with Mari before so he knows what he’s in for there.
TEN DAYS!!!!
I have so much to do in those ten days. Write, promo (All Of You releases Sept.26), write, schedule some blogs to post while I’m gone, write, chew nails over a submission that’s sitting on my editors desk, write, pack……oh dear, I’m exhausted just typing that out.
Speaking of promo and releases. I’ve blogged in two different places this week with snippets of All Of You. Head over to Passionate Reads HERE! for the first one. And head over to the International Heat blog HERE! for the Red Hot Premiere month. The IH authors are certainly heating things up this month. Check out all the latest releases and leave comments to be entered in the draw for prizes, the final one being a Kindle.
Okay, no more wasting time for me. Back to it.
Rhian
