Two years!
It’s been two years since Mr.C and I boarded a plane on May 9, 2016 and headed to Singapore to live.
We’d done it before back in ’07 but this time is was just the two of us. Instant empty nest. The bizarre thing about that is for years I kept saying to get an empty nest Mr.C and I would have to fly. How right I was!
So much has changed for us in the last two years. Two grandbabies arrived. I’d like to say they were spread out nicely over those twenty-four months but noooooo……our kids had to have them SIX MONTHS APART!!!!
o.O
Not that we’re complaining. Fynn and Indigo are the bestest, cutest, most gorgeous Gbabies in the history of Gbabies. No, I’m not biased at all. ๐ See for yourself.

Cute, right?
While those two might be the most important things to happen over the last two years they aren’t the only changes. The Kid decided to move up here for a year with his girlfriend to travel and study. They arrived in Feb and have already taken two of their planned trips (Bali & Beijing) as well as being in their final week of uni for this semester. There’s now three of us in the office and while I thought that might get a little cramped it’s working out well.
Mr.C and I hit two of the places on our ‘see the world’ list. Cambodia and China. Coincidently we did those trips one year apart almost to the day. I’m planning on blogging about both trips in coming weeks so I’ll only share a couple of pix now. ๐
Cambodia
China (lift to the top of the wall)
We’ve done a couple of little trips. (I should blog about those too…..) And we’ve got a family trip planned for next month in Bali. Definitely expect me to blog about that. ๐
I won’t lie, the move killed me in a number of ways. Some I won’t talk about others I’m happy to share. Like how gorgeous my office view is. Or the one from the deck. Or the great places we’ve been able to go. Yeah, lots of great things have come from uprooting our lives and abandoning our children.
And before you point out they’re all adults I know this! but it still feels like we abandoned them. ๐ Needless to say I spend a good portion of my day on facetime with either Fynn or Indigo. It goes a long way to soothing this mother/Gma’s ruffled feathers.
I miss them all like crazy but that makes the time we are together face-to-face so much better. Next month I get all my babies and Gbabies together for two whole weeks!! Oh, and I should mention that while we’re all together Mr.C and I will be celebrating our 30th anniversary. Yes, child bride and groom. ๐
It’s been a roller coaster ride from day one all those months ago but I can’t wait to see what the next two years brings.
I’ll leave you with this great pic. It’s the view out my window right now. ๐

Loved reading this and glad we were able to share a little part of a great experience of a special beautiful family thank you so much?
You’re welcome! We love having you guys visit.
Thank you so much for sharing a piece of your journey over the past two years. Those gbabies are so adorable.
Thanks for following me. And yes, those gbabies are too adorable for words.
