Who’s a believer? *raises hand*
**This subject often turns into a raging debate whenever it’s brought up and while I’m all in for a discussion let’s remember that everyone has their own opinion and EVERYONE’S opinion is valid. Because they own it, you don’t. ๐
So, insta-love. We see it a lot in books. I’ve seen reviews where a reader doesn’t believe the instant connection between the main characters because they themselves don’t believe you can fall for someone at first sight. I’m a believer. I’ve lived it! Yep, I fell for Mr.C at first sight. Okay, fine, it was his butt I saw first but damn that thing was tight. You can’t blame me. Considering we’ve been together over 30 years I think I got it right. ๐
But let’s talk about insta-love in books. Who’s cool with it? Who’s against it? Why? Tell me what makes you believe or not believe two (or three or more) people can fall in love at first sight. I’ll admit I find it easy to believe but then not only do I have a real-life example driving that opinion but I have a willingness to believe every time I open a book. I want to believe that love wins out. I NEED to believe it when the world seems to be filled with hate and disaster and so much bad sh*t.
So what are you? Believer or not?

I too am a believer. And also have personal knowledge that it does happen.
The night I met my husband, I went home, woke my mom and dad up and told them that I’d met the man I was going to marry. That was on 12/7/69. We got engaged on 2/14/70 and were married on 3/27/70. And here we are 48 years later and are happier than we’ve ever been. So yes, love at first sight, insta-love, whatever you wanna call it, happens. My Michael and I are living proof that it works. Just gotta want it bad enough to fight thru the tough times to make it to the other side.
I too am a believer. I felt that way when I met my hubby 38 years ago and never regretted it.
