**Note: I’m currently somewhere in Alaska or Canada or out to sea…anyway, I’m with Mr.C as he visits some places he’s always wanted to go. While I’m away and because I wasn’t sure how much time I’d have to get online or even if I could, I’ve got some posts pre-scheduled for your reading pleasure. It’s also a way for me to recap the last few months.**
Right after the wedding back in April I embarked on a trip to Canada to visit writing bestie Shana Gray for a writing retreat of sorts. We had a blast! We also worked our butts off. Writing and planning and brainstorming.
I get so much out of hanging with other writers and whenever Shana and I get together it never fails to boost my energy levels and enthusiasm to get shit done! And I got shit done! Hell, I’m still getting shit done. Well, not right now because, as I mentioned above, I’m on holiday. ????
Here’s a few of the other things I did while there.
I got to stand out in the falling snow!

In borrowed shoes and my pajamas! Also, no comments about how little there is of the white stuff!
I got a cuppa at Tim Hortons. From the drive thru!

Less than 12hrs in the country and I’m already liking the place. ????
I got to see my first ever LIVE hockey game!!

Couldn’t help myself. I had to bring Walker along. ????
And to get to and from the game I traveled on a train. I’m not sure why I like trying public transport in other countries, but I do. It’s fun to see the difference. It was super weird for me to stand on a platform almost at rail level. In Oz and Singapore the platforms are a good four feet above them.

I took a video but can’t work out how to upload it. ☹️
I visited a sweet little town that shares its name with Gbaby #3. I swear I took a pic of a sign but I can’t find it! I’m doing great with technology today. ????
I got to watch spring pop. Seeing the trees go from bare bones to colorful buds was amazing after 8 years of one season.

It was surreal to see a season change after being in Singapore for eight years where there’s only one season. Hot as hell.
During my stay we took a trip to Denver for a signing event. (I’ll post more about that another time)

After our return from Denver I only had a few days before it was time to head home but I was consoled by having an empty seat beside me on the flight from Toronto to London (where I found a nice big cuppa to help me through my layover) AND an empty seat beside me on the flight from London to Singapore.

It was a great month and I was sad to see it end but there is a lot more travel in my future so I’m okay. Plus I missed Mr.C. ????
