I’m late! Again! Let’s not waste time and hit play on this sucker.
It’s Not Tuesday!!
Swear to god I thought it was Tuesday until MrC said “it’s Wednesday, right?” to which I replied “no it’s Tuesday” while lifting up my arm to check my watch.
What happened to Tuesday? I missed it! Kind of. You see I’ve been super busy this week in the edit cave!
Yep, I’m in the edit cave working on Fallout and as it’s just over 7 weeks until release (OMG! I’m excited!) this will be the last chance I have to make Jake and Mallory’s story perfect. (Or as near to perfect as I can.)
And this all means that I should have pre-order links sooner than later!
How exciting is that? I haven’t had a book release in over a year and we’re so close to this one that I’m bouncing in my chair. (No, really, I’m bouncing, which means Mr.C is giving me weird looks. Okay, that’s a lie. He knows I’m weird, he’s used to it so he’s probably rolling his eyes at me while on his conference call. 🙂 )
In other exciting news I’m working on a short story that will introduce my new series. (I’ll have more info on those soon-ish.)
I’ve had some ups and downs this past week but nothing too bad other than waking up Monday feeling like someone has smashed me in the face with a baseball bat. I’m pretty sure it’s my sinuses again so I popped some pain meds and dove into Fallout edits. Of course that might explain why I “missed” Tuesday. Pain meds always make me a little spacey. Even mild ones.
Other than that the last week has been good. We had friends over for dinner Friday night (I cooked baked salmon) and then we headed to an area call Dempsey Hill for lunch on Sunday. Dempsey is filled with restaurants and shops so after lunch we walked around and ended up in this place –
Where I had two of these!
It’s a Ruby Heirlooms and has Tanglin Distillery’s Singapore Gin, fresh lemon juice, raspberry, egg white, garnished with raspberry shards served in a collins glass.
It was delicious! Hence the two. 😆
We had a great time wandering around and hanging with friends. Especially seeing how we haven’t been to Dempsey Hill in years! And now that the covid restrictions are easing we don’t have to wear our masks outside. It felt kind of strange to be honest, kinda like being out in public naked 😆 and of course it got stranger because we had to put them back on when we went inside anywhere.
Strange times people, strange times.
Anyway, I need to get back to Jake and Mallory. Oh, and Maddox. Can’t forget that cutie!
