We’re packing up and heading to Oz!
That’s right, after eight years in Singapore we’re heading back to home turf and the tribe, and moving back to Oz!
The reason we’re going is Mr.C has retired!
(Well he’s retired for now, I’m not sure the man knows how to NOT work but I’m prepared with some things to keep him occupied as long as I can.)
The pic above is my last cuppa in the Princess Tower. And this time last week we handed over the keys and walked away for good. Here’s a couple of pix of what the the week before handover looked like.
The last two pix are of us leaving the apartment to stay at our temporary digs with Twix who was not a happy kitty for a while and my first cuppa the morning. I’m told the container our stuff got loaded into has left Singapore bound for Sydney. Of course we’ve got some things happening which means we won’t be heading to Sydney ourselves until July 5.
And what have we got going on the has delayed our departure? A trip Mr.C has been thinking about for years and planning for over 12 months.
We’re off to Alaska!
I’m excited in spite of the fact I don’t like the cold. We’re cruising up along the coast for 7 days then we hope off and board a train heading inland for 5 days. I can’t wait to see everything. I’ve got my thermals packed so I can get out and enjoy exploring even if it’s cold.
But before we go we have to wait for Twix to be picked up and flown to Oz. Unlike us, she has to quarantine for two weeks before being allowed to wander the country. Not that she’ll be going far. Three of our Gbabies are super excited that not only are MeMa and Grandpa coming to stay with them but so is Twix! I’m pretty sure she’s getting the bulk of that excitement.
I’m excited too. This is the next chapter in our lives. Although I’m not retiring. In fact I’m currently writing like crazy to get Hot Damn finished before we leave of Thursday. I’m more than halfway and I can’t wait to share Cami and Beckett with you.
I haven’t revealed much about Hot Damn yet but you can see what I have HERE! Oh, and you can pre-order it so it hits your ereader first thing on July 31.
Alright, my break is over. Time to get back to writing!

Oh and so get you about ‘retirement’… I think only now is my DH actually going to… any day now… shortly… retire. It is the handing back of the work lap top that is the significant moment!
Alison the handing over of the work laptop has already occurred!! But I’m sure he’ll find something else eventually if I don’t keep him occupied with things to do. 🙂
Yay when you get settle back in Oz I will need to order more books haha.

Tracie I’d say send me a list but to be honest, I’ll probably lose it between now and then. *head-desk* But I’m making a note in my planner to make sure I touch base with you when I’m back and settled.
