Ready for this weeks episode? Let’s hit play on this sucker.
My Christmas gift came early!
I’M IN SYDNEY!!!
Yes, I’m shouting. Do you blame me? I think not.
The plane was surprisingly full considering the social distancing thing required by Singapore and to be honest, until we cleared customs and quarantine in Oz and stepped outside the airport I really wasn’t convinced this trip was happening.
Gotta admit. I cried.
I’m blaming #TheKid. He picked us up and the second he was out of the car he grabbed me and didn’t let go. At one point I had to remind him I needed to breathe. After he deemed our hug satisfactory he let me go and we loaded up the car with all our bags (there was four check-in and two carry-on) and headed for home.
It’s been a crazy few days. We had to do another Covid test (and I’ll do another tomorrow) and spend 72 hours in isolation then it’s been raining Mema hugs all over the place.
For the first time in 2 years I got to hug all my babies and Gbabies AND I got to hug the 3 NEW Gbabies who’ve never received a Mema cuddle.
The only down side to all the hugging is that I’m apparently not as healed as I thought I was and I’m having to be careful with the cuddles and snuggle reading. I’m also dealing with fatigue and the resulting headache that has plagued me since radiation.
I know I should rest and not push myself too hard but it’s difficult to do that when I’ve missed so much in the last 2 years and I want to make the most of every second I’m in Oz.
I’ve also had to do Christmas shopping because we couldn’t bring much with us. It’s not an effort shopping for the Gbabies but it is tiring and of course there’s the whole thing of going out without a mask on.
Masks aren’t mandatory here like they are in Singapore and I’m NOT comfortable with that. People do wear them but it’s a personal choice which I don’t understand when the numbers are up and they’ve got all these restrictions on travel.
I’m wearing one but I’m being super cautious because my immune system is down right now and I don’t want to risk getting sick. Not that I think that’s likely seeing how I’ve had the vaccinations. Better to be safe than sorry as far as I’m concerned.
Plus who the hell wants to be sick when there’s all that Christmas food to eat!!!
Speaking of Christmas, according to Indigo there are 4 sleeps to go.
Are you ready? I know some people like to get everything done early (and I’m usually one of them, or at least I get most of my shopping done early) and some like to leave it all to the last minute. Which camp do you fall in?
** Episode 15 **

I am so happy for you and glad you’ve gotten lots & lots of gbaby snuggles. Enjoy!!
