The Whole Body Edition
Because it’s the last Tuesday of the year I thought I’d recap the wonderland that has been my health in 2021.
(And by wonderland I mean septic tank.)
The year started off great! In spite of not being able to go home for Christmas in 2020 and missing the birth of another Gbaby I’d been on track for blogging regularly and writing up a storm. Then I broke part of a tooth off. And of course I couldn’t just chip the damn thing I had to shear off the side like a glacier shears off and crashes into the ocean.
This brilliance required a crown. Which in itself can be traumatic but I didn’t even have the standard crown requirement.
Nope. I had to have bone and gum surgery to get access to the tooth below the gum to measure for the crown and then fit it.
At first it was all good. I had little pain, no swelling and felt okay.
Then the vertigo hit. And hit hard.
And lasted. And lasted. And lasted!
Through all of March and most of April I was dizzy and nauseous and felt as though I was leaning on a 45 degree angle. Even lying down didn’t help.
Toward the end of April things started to level out in my head and I was looking forward to a 5 day cruise to nowhere (literally, the ship just sails out into the ocean and goes in circles) when we got in for our first Covid shot.
That first shot was easy-peasy. A mild temp and tiredness.
The second shot? Yeah, that sucker wasn’t so great. I had the mild temp but also had severe joint pain. Like so bad I had to take pain meds. And again, I suffered for weeks with that shit. I couldn’t type, could barely walk (my fingers and hips were the worst) and that all took me into July when I was due to go back for a follow up scan from my annual medical.
Which bought us to the Pilot Episode of Boobs Behaving Badly.
Which brings us to now.
December.
December 2021.
This is what I have to say about that –
Seriously.
WHAT
THE
F*CK
Are you done yet?
I didn’t think we could top the crazy that was 2020 but damn it to hell, 2021 just had to beat it.
The only reason I’m not rocking in a corner somewhere is because of this –
How gorgeous are they!
Left to right – Boston on Huxley’s lap, Fynn, Elora holding Emmi, and Phoenix cradled by big sister Indigo.
Gbaby snuggles have been the highlight of the year even if I have to be careful due to continued tenderness around both surgery spots.
Oh, and I’m still not comfortable in a wired bra for long but I can get away with enough time to wear some of my favorite tops and dresses for all the family get togethers over this wonderful silly season.
From all of us in the Cahill Tribe, we hope you have a great holiday season and a fantastic 2022.
See you next year!
** Episode 16 **

HUGs Rhian and hopefully 2022 will be an improvement on all fronts. Enjoy all those gbaby snuggles and cuddles while you can.
What beautiful grand babies they are. I hope the cuddles are going down well. I wish you all the best of health and happiness for the fast approaching New year. All the very best of wishes x
